My background in all things ears goes back a long way!
In all, I have 24 years of experience in treating people in private clinics, at home, in nursing homes, and in hospitals.
I worked for the Doncaster and Bassetlaw NHS Trust in their Audiology departments for 19 years. I worked alongside Audiologists and became a Senior Assistant Audiologist. I am highly experienced in the treatment of children in the Paediatric clinics. In addition, I have great experience treating adults and children with disabilities (including those with particular conditions, such as Down’s Syndrome), hearing aid users, SEN (special educational needs) and nervous patients!
I left the NHS when I moved here to Perranporth, Cornwall, where I now have experience in three methods of microsuction.
Initially, I worked for Boots Hearing Care in Truro, Falmouth, St Austell, and Hayle, having trained in the use of Headloop and Tympa Health.
My knowledge has been further expanded in the course of my employment at Kernow Ear Health. There, I was trained to use hospital grade microscopes (used in hospital ENT departments).
I am now excited to embark on a new adventure here in the beautiful surroundings of my home town, Perranporth. I look forward to welcoming all to Perran Ear Care both at my main base in Perranporth, and also on Tuesdays in St Austell at The Cornish Podiatry Clinic.
